What is SEED TO LANDSCAPE?

SEED TO LANDSCAPE is an LA-based consulting and landscape business specializing in ecological landscapes, community-centered urban habitat restoration projects, native plant horticulture education, and nursery catalyzation.

SEED TO LANDSCAPE projects merge horticulture with conservation, prioritizing the use of locally native species grown from regionally-suitable seeds, and promoting the growth and expansion of grassroots nursery sites in diverse locales in the city for the continued seed collection and propagation of those species by the community.

Leadership

SEED TO LANDSCAPE is led by native plant horticulturist Katherine Pakradouni, who has had a colorful and unique history working in the realm of native plant nurseries and landscapes in Los Angeles since 2011.

Prior to establishing SEED TO LANDSCAPE as her full-time business, she worked for such organizations as the Theodore Payne Foundation, Grown in LA, the LA Parks Foundation, and the Santa Monica Mountains Fund, where she was the founding nursery manager for the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing project
